Handpicked Homes · Heartfelt Hospitality

Nestled in a charming nook of Chotta Shimla, this cottage stands as a lovingly preserved heritage home, which was built in the early 1960s as a summer retreat.

Perched on the once-idyllic Morley Bank, just a short stroll from Victoria Place and what was once an apple orchard, the cottage has long been a haven for cherished memories — from fruit-picking and walks with dogs along the hillside to the comforting aroma of fresh bread from Trishool Bakery. Though the landscape has evolved, the cottage remains a timeless sanctuary that echoes the grace of a bygone era.

In 2022, this cottage underwent restoration, carefully preserving its soul — the original ceilings, colonial-era furniture, and vintage details — while blending in modern comforts. Today, this cottage welcomes travellers from around the world to experience authentic Himalayan hospitality at 7,000 feet above sea level.

Just two kilometres from the Mall Road, yet surrounded by towering deodars and crisp mountain air, the cottage features five elegantly appointed bedrooms, including three King Rooms, and two Queen Rooms — each space offering its own warmth, character, and ensuite comfort.

Step inside to discover an intimate world of rosewood furniture, Afghan carpets, and sun-dappled verandahs overlooking a private forest. The first-floor deck offers tranquil valley views, while the ground floor opens to a lush lawn — ideal for evening bonfires and barbecue gatherings.

Our culinary philosophy is simple: hearty, home-cooked meals crafted with love. From seasonal Himachali recipes to comforting continental classics, every dish is freshly prepared by our in-house team. We also curate bespoke local experiences from forest walks, picnics at the Glen, and heritage strolls that transport you back to the Raj days, to golfing at Naldhera or sampling Trishool’s famous bakes.

Here, hospitality is heartfelt and personal. Whether you are a couple seeking solitude and quiet luxury, a family reconnecting with nature, or a solo traveller in search of stillness, you’ll find warmth, history, and belonging here.

Guests have the option to book individual rooms as well - please reach out for details.
